Dull Dark Discolored Teeth

Question:

Dr. Sam, my teeth seems to be much duller and more discolored than others in my age group. I do not smoke. What could cause this and how can it be fixed?

Answer:

Let’s talk about discolored or dark teeth.

Teeth can be discolored for a variety of reasons.  It could be in our genes to have a darker color to our teeth.  We could have been exposed to tetracycline when we were a child, that would have caused our teeth to be permanently darker.  Our tooth enamel could be weaker due to childhood illness, which made it easier for the teeth to stain.

The good news is that the color of the teeth can be hidden.  The tooth enamel can be stronger.  The teeth can be less sensitive and cosmetically we can have any shade we would like without having to get our teeth ground down.  The entire process is non-invasive.  Many dental labs offer porcelain veneers that require little to no grinding to your natural teeth as Lumineers and Vivineers.  In my office, at the present time I am working with a local ceramist that brings the work to my office before it is glazed.  This allows me to control the shade and the shapes of the teeth for an individualized and customized look.

Today, the patients want their work to look natural.  They want to look better but do not want fake white teeth.  They want their porcelain veneers to look great but be undetectable.  Today’s patients have raised the bar of quality.  The bulky, fake denture looking teeth are not longer good enough.  Today’s patients want naturally looking teeth that are healthy and white.  It takes the artistic eye of the dentist to deliver.

Facelift Dentistry ® Can Improve Your Appearance

Question:

Dr. Sam, how can Face Lift Dentistry improve my appearance?

Answer:

Face Lift Dentistry ® is the only procedure that can change the shape of your face permanently without facial surgery.  The basic concept is that the teeth are directly responsible for the length of your face and facial support.  If you have longer teeth or if they are angled correctly, you will have more lip support.  Fuller lips and a smoother facial appearance is possible by only treating your teeth and the treatment is non-invasive.

Additionally, most patients and dentists do not understand that the bite is directly responsible for the shape of your face.  If you have a deep overbite, your face will be shorter.  If you have a deep overbite, your jaw will look smaller.  With the advanced bonding technologies, a persons face can be permanently changed while getting the best shaped teeth and the best color for their face.  The results completely revitalize the entire face.  Patients in their 60’s look 15 years younger and more healthy.  Younger patients with weak looking chins can have a vastly improved facial profile without jaw surgery.

Face Lift Dentistry ® is customized to each persons individual facial characteristics.  Be Careful!  There is only one dentist that has the extensive experience and the full face photography of his patients that clearly demonstrate the versatility and the possibilities of this technique.  Sam Muslin DDS MAGD has trademarked and developed the concept as will as perfecting the non surgical dental bonding technique.  No dental crowns are necessary if the teeth are healthy.  Dr. Muslin does NOT have to grind down your teeth in order to provide Face Lift Dentistry ®.

Face Lift Dentistry is a great life style enhancer and confidence builder.  The patients have been so thrilled with the results that they have signed full model release forms allowing Dr. Muslin to show photos of their faces that are matched perfectly.  Don’t Be Fooled by fake photos in other websites.  Dr. Muslin’s photos are untouched and unaltered and matched positions so you can see the amazing results accurately.

Maximum Dental Health and Face Lift Dentistry ®

The wording Face Lift Dentistry ® has the implication that it is all about cosmetics.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  Face Lift Dentistry’s ® most important benefit is the health of the patient’s jaw joint and ultimately the entire body.  Using neuromuscular dentistry techniques, the health and comfort of the TMJ is the most important goal as it effects total body health.  TMJ problems are well documented.  Patients have jaw pain, headaches, clicking and popping joints, difficulty chewing, muscular pain, back and neck pain, poor digestion from difficulty chewing, that are all associated with a bad bite.  Face Lift Dentistry ® dramatically improves the bite and the health of the patient.

Neuromuscular Dentistry

Neuromuscular Dentistry is all about locating the best possible jaw position to improve muscle performance.  The professional athletes including the New Orleans Saints are using neuromuscular dentistry that repositions the jaw to increase athletic performance.  Face Lift Dentistry ® restores a bad bite, years of wear, teeth grinding and worn down bites into the healthiest TMJ position possible for patient function and comfort.  Face Lift Dentistry ® creates the maximum health for the patients jaw joint that becomes a lifestyle enhancer in every dimension.

Side Effects of Face Lift Dentistry ®

The side effects of Face Lift Dentistry ® can be a dramatically improved facial profile, better lip support and better facial support for the aging face.  The side effects are enormously beneficial as the shape of the aging face is restored back 15 to 20 years younger.  The baby boomer generation looks years younger besides feeling years younger due to the neuromuscular dentistry treatment that repositions the lower jaw naturally.   No surgery is necessary and the natural teeth do not have to be ground down.  The treatment is non-invasive and remarkably quick.  The side effects improve the lives of our patients.

Caution!

There is only one dentist with over 30 years of experience and experience matters.  Every patient is totally unique and must be treated individually.  There are a large number of variables and this is no time to go to a less experienced dentist with a fancy office.  Dr. Muslin has one of the most high tech dental offices in the country combined with the experience and most importantly . . .  a large number of paired or matched before and after photos of the patients that he treated.  These patients are living testimonials to the lasting quality of his work and he sincerely thanks everyone of them for allowing him to show their faces.

Weak Biting Surface or Weak Enamel

Question:

Dr. Sam, my dentist told me I have a weak biting surface and should go and see a specialist. What is a “weak biting surface” and how can this be fixed. Who can fix a weak biting surface?

Answer:

The biting surface of our teeth wears down with age in most people. Over decades of wear, our teeth loose enamel just like the tread on our tires. If the enamel is weak, the loss of tooth enamel due to wear is increased. Weak biting surfaces wear down faster than strong biting surfaces. When the bite wears down, the overbite generally increases, the jaw is pushed back and the TMJ becomes problematic. The TMJ can click or pop. We can get headaches or sore jaws or jaw pain that all result from a worn down bite. The patients that have a worn down bite, also generally have shortened faces.

Dr. Sam Muslin has perfected the NON-Invasive bite restoration technique.

The solution is a dentist that specializes in complex dentistry. The very best dentists are able to restore your teeth and the bite by adding back the lost tooth structure without having to grind down your teeth. Caution!! Most dentists and dental specialists will want to grind down your teeth in order to place crowns.

In order to improve your bite, your teeth will have to be damaged in most dental offices. However, Dr. Sam Muslin has perfected the NON-Invasive bite restoration technique. Many of the patients featured in our Before After Dental Gallery had their weak enamel strengthened and replaced without grinding down the patients teeth. He has developed a super bonding technique that lasts for many years and has photos of his patients to prove it. See, Kevin (a woman) and Mathew (a young man) in the photo gallery of the website. Both of these patients had their bite completely restored, all of the lost tooth structure replaced, whiter teeth, a face lift effect due to the bite being lifted and restored, and all of the treatment was completed without any grinding on their natural teeth.

Call Sam Muslin DDS MAGD for your appointment on (310) 829-6796, it will be educational and informative to see the large photos of his patients.
