5 Reasons for Face Lift Dentistry ®

renetta Benefits of a Dental Face Lift ®

The Benefits of Face Lift Dentistry ®

Health

Some patients really appreciate the improvement in health.  They had gum disease, missing teeth, bad fillings, bad porcelain crowns and bridges plus bad porcelain veneers.  All of the bad dentistry and bad bite were treated simultaneously while creating the ultimate face for the patient.  Other patients have had the stress level of their face and jaws reduced with the best position for their jaw joint being established scientifically rather than randomly. (Read more about Cosmetic Face Lift Dentistry)

Speech

Many patients do not speak clearly because their teeth are worn down or they have a bad over bite or under bite.  The shapes, sizes and angles of teeth combined with the bite play a huge role in the ability of the patient to speak clearly.  (Read about Renetta’s Face Lift Dentistry)

Appearance

The improvement in appearance of my patients has been surprisingly pleasant.  Most patients and doctors do not realize that the teeth and bite determine the shape of a patient’s face.  The teeth can actually support the face, cheeks, and lips and actually lengthen the face which smooths out facial lines without surgery. When a patient gets the best possible teeth and bite, the face is completely revitalized.  These patients had never experienced how much of a positive impact Face Lift Dentistry ® can have on their lives.     (See how Face Lift Dentistry can change your looks )

Tooth Protection

Non-invasive porcelain veneer technology developed by Dr. Sam Muslin has given him the ability to completely rebuild a patient’s bite, without grinding down their natural teeth.  It is like having a new layer over the top of the patient’s worn down teeth.  This new layer reduces tooth sensitivity, does not decay, does not stain as easily as natural tooth structure, is incredibly strong and the teeth are permanently whiter.  The patient’s natural teeth are protected but the big benefit is the naturally healthy and professional appearance.    (Read more about Tooth Protection)

Self Esteem

If you would like to feel better about yourself for many years to come than Face Lift Dentistry ® is for you.  It removes 10 years from the patient’s faces in most cases by balancing the size of the lower face to the upper face without surgery, botox or soft tissue fillers.  It completely changes every expression during speech, laughter, smiling and most importantly, when at rest.  The relief from jaw pain can make everyday just a little bit better.

Preventing TMJ Problems

We are living longer and need to take better care of ourselves. If our teeth are going to last to one hundred years of age, preventing TMJ problems by optimizing the function of the bite with the TMJ (jaw joint) has prevented future problems. It has been my experience that after treating patients with Face Lift Dentistry for over 26 years, every patient has had fewer TMJ problems and additionally has experienced life-changing benefits of a renewed self-esteem.

Dealing With TMJ Problems

TMJ Problems

Many patients have TMJ problems such as heavy tooth wear from grinding or clenching, clicking or popping jaw joints, headaches, neck pain or back pain and facial pain due to a bad bite. Some patients have jaw joint problems and are not aware that they have lost over a third of their tooth structure from grinding! As patients age, the teeth loose enamel and the bite deepens. (Read more about Tooth Grinding or Bruxism)

What is a Bad Bite?

Bad bite is term describing the functional harmony between the teeth and the TMJ or jaw joint. When there is little to no harmony, the TMJ and surrounding muscles must work much harder and compromise normal function. When muscles have to compromise or work harder, damaging TMJ symptoms can be from mild to extreme. (Read more about Natural Facial Optimization)

TMJ & a Bad Bite

Most patients have some form of TMJ problems and many of these patients are not aware of the destruction to the jaw joint and the teeth that is caused by a bad bite. Patients come into my office with many symptoms and TMJ pain but do not realize that the bite is off in all three dimensions. They also did not realize the incredible advantages of early treatment. (Read more about TMJ Problems)

Bad Bite Correction Changes Lives

Face Lift Dentistry ® is the creation of the best possible bite for the particular jaw dimensions and natural jaw functions of the patient. These patients have experienced comfort that exceeded their expectations. “Wow, that bite feels a lot better and I did not even know I had a problem” and others have said, “I can chew better, I feel a lot better and I look a lot younger”. One wife said, “My husband smiles more, looks 100% better, is more romantic and he feels much happier about himself, he is a new more positive husband”. Another said, “ Dr. Muslin, you have changed my life, people treat me better because I look like a new and healthy women, thank you”. Face Lift Dentistry relieves pain, improves jaw comfort and decreases the possibility of having TMJ pain in the future. When the jaw muscles function normally, the patient has more energy, less discomfort, less stress and a healthier body. (Read more about Mouth Reconstruction)

Neuromuscular Dentistry, Who Needs It?

The life expectancy of all patients is increasing. In just the last 30 years the life expectancy has increased over 20 years! Because patients are living longer, it is of particular importance that patients get the best level of dental care they can afford. Just about 80 percent of patients that I see would benefit from Face Lift Dentistry as it would reduce the stress level in the face, neck and jaws. Neuromuscular dentistry is a word coined to describe a form of positioning the lower jaw in a better position but neuromuscular dentistry alone is not enough to create the ultimate level of care, Face Lift Dentistry ®.

TMJ Problems

The treatment of the TMJ or jaw joint has become a big area in dentistry.  New phrases as neuromuscular dentistry have been developed to draw attention to the complexity of the TMJ joint.  It is the only joint in the body with a physiological component as the more we are stressed, the more we clench or grind our teeth which puts more pressure on the TMJ.

Most patients have not reached the best shape to their faces nor the best facial balance between the upper and lower part of their faces because their lower jaw is not optimally positioned.  If these patients have their lower jaw optimally positioned by creating the best possible jaw position and jaw height, the face is finally balanced for the first time in their lives.  The shape of the face is directly determined by the position of our lower jaw and the height and angle of our bites.  We can remove over 10 years from the face in most patients over 55 years of age with Face Lift Dentistryâ and improve the TMJ comfort.  These patients have experienced a life style enhancement.

The Success Rate with the TMJ

After treating patients with Face Lift Dentistryâ for over 25 years, every patient has improved. Face Lift Dentistryâ patients are happier, more comfortable, love the newly achieved facial balance and have fewer TMJ problems or symptoms.  The treatment sequencing developed by Sam Muslin DDS MAGD combined with the utilization of the finest dental technologies are coordinated in a customized plan specific to the needs of the individual patient.  No two patients are alike and to be a Face Lift Dentist requires many years of experience to properly care for the wide variety of facial types.  To claim that every patient has improved without complications is a very bold statement, but to this point in my career, it is accurate.

25 Years of Experience Matters!

Each patient is fully evaluated with photos, models, examined by Dr. Muslin, radiographs, complex motion tomography and treated in as short a period of time as possible.  It is routine in my practice to treat all of the upper teeth in just one 4 hour visit and bond in the porcelain in as little as a few days to a few weeks later on their second visit.

The patient was treated in just two visits of about 2 to 4 hours long.  No sedation is necessary in most cases and the complex dental care is rendered with my highly experienced staff in a smooth and organized manner.  Most patients cannot believe that this much dental care can be done so quickly because of past experiences.   However, the patients have done surprisingly well.

We have ceiling mounted TV sets that are directly above the patient for effortless viewing and give the patient’s frequent breaks during the visits so they do not have to hold their jaws open for long periods of time.  It is all about patient comfort during the delivery of Face Lift Dentistry ®.

25 Years of Face Lift Dentistry ® – (Part 1)

The concept of permanently changing the shape of a patients face by limiting the treatment to the patient’s teeth and bite, without surgery is not a new one in my practice.  As a practicing dentist for over 30 years, my first well-documented patient with Face Lift Dentistry ® was over 25 years ago.  Face Lift Dentistry ® clearly demonstrates the untapped possibilities that exist in the field of dentistry.  Most dentists only look at the teeth when they are treating a patient.  They will treat the patient with crowns or veneers or fillings but seldom look at the face.  The orthodontists line up the teeth with braces or Invisalign ® to straighten teeth but the potential to dramatically improve the face is generally not part of the plan in other dental offices.

The Patient’s Potential

Face Lift Dentistry ® is designed to look at the patient face, listen to the speech, watch how the patient pronounces the “S” sounds and “TH” sounds, visualize the TMJ in function with high tech Complex Motion Tomograpy, examine the sizes of the upper and lower jaws and view how the jaws function.  Most of the time, the potential improvements for the patient are significant.  The problem is that the dentist needs to be the trained in almost every field of dentistry and then be able to coordinate the treatment to be so fast that the patient can accommodate without complications. The dentist must be highly organized and be highly skilled to deliver care to a patient as complicated as Face Lift Dentistry ® and yet make it almost effortless for the patient.

Why Can’t Any Dentist Perform a Dental Facelift?

In order to help someone understand the process of Face Lift Dentistry, it had to be broken down into simple terms for easy mental visualization.  Los Angeles cosmetic dentist Sam Muslin explains:

Scientific Studies Scant

The science of Face Lift Dentistry was perfected over years and years of successful treatment of many patients, covering a wide variety of dental problems.  These patients are all well documented and very happy with their improved confidence and lifestyles that only Face Lift Dentistry can achieve.  After 25 years of photographic documentation of successful treatment with all of the variables that individual people can present, combined with x-rays and complex motion tomography, written testimonials and video testimonials, the scientific results are in!  Face Lift Dentistry works very well if the dentist can adjust his plan and be creative in order to help the patient have biologically natural looking results.

Adding Length to the Teeth

Many dentists may “add length” to the teeth with resulting TMJ pain or inability to chew or speak clearly.  A patient can have worse jaw joint stress if the dentist is not highly skilled in achieving a biologically harmonious length.

Facelift Dentistry ensures that teeth length is functional in all dimensions.  Simply adding length to the upper front teeth increases the patient’s overbite.  The bite gets worse with most cosmetic dentistry that “simply adds length” to the teeth.

Making the Teeth Bulky
Some dentists may “add bulk to the teeth” to try and achieve similar results but the outcome is bad!  The increased bulk traps food while eating.  The last thing that makes a patient look attractive is chunks of food trapped around bulky teeth.

“Bulky” teeth do not look natural and adding length can be a functional disaster with deeper overbites.

The number one complaint in my office is that the patients do not want “thick or bulky looking teeth” like their friend just got from some cosmetic dentist.  The shapes of the teeth need to be natural looking and feeling.  See Samantha’s video testimonial to understand how porcelain veneers can look fake, feel bulky and feel very “unnatural”.

Adding bulk to the teeth is a terrible solution for most patients and it violates basic biological principles of natural looking teeth.

Face Lift Dentistry is Not Intended to Replace a Cosmetic Face Lift

A Dental Facelift is an extremely complicated process of creating a beautiful, natural looking smile that lengthens the face and supports the lips, functions perfectly with the TMJ or jaw joint and supports the lips and clarifies the speech.  Face Lift Dentistry is a true creative art form that requires biological compatibility with all of the functions of the mouth that can achieve a younger and natural looking face lift.  It is not intended to replace a face lift by a plastic surgeon, but to augment the results for the plastic surgeon.

What is Face Lift Dentistry?

Posted by: The Hightech Dentist | Comments Comments Off
Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

Question:

Dr. Sam, could you explain in layman’s terms what Face Lift Dentistry ® is?

Answer:

Face Lift Dentistry ®  is much more than just a cosmetic dental procedure. It’s about the highest level of dental health that has a profound and positive impact on the health of the entire body.

It prolongs life with the elimination of decay and disease that is very common in the mouth that freely flows down the throat and penetrates into the blood stream every single day. With the reduction in mouth infections the health of the entire body is improved. With decreased levels of disease and infections, the patient adds years to their life span and quality of life is improved.

These patients have achieved such a superior level of home care, that they actually enjoy doing it. Dentistry that is a perfect fit, allows these patients to clean their mouths and be totally free of infection. Gums are pink and tight, no swelling, no bleeding and their breath is clean and fresh. The benefits of the total approach to dental health care are enormous long term.

Face Lift Dentistry ® also reduces daily stress within the skeletal muscular system. The grinding of the teeth and a bad bite contribute to TMJ pain, headaches, neck and jaw muscle pain. This level of stress reduces the body’s ability to function efficiently and reduces mental capacity as the entire body is in constant compromise as it has to adapt to a higher stress level. Treating the bite and creating harmony with the jaw joint or TMJ or jaw joint, reduces mental and physical stress within the body systems. It is well documented in the literature that stress reduction improves the quality and quantity of years during the patient’s lifetime.

Face Lift Dentistry ® also improves self-esteem and professional appearance. How a person presents themselves impacts the quality of their relationships. The movie industry creates ugly looking teeth for the villains while the hero looks very good.

Studies have show that children with bad looking teeth and bad bites have more behavioral problems. Self-esteem is greatly enhanced and Face Lift Dentistry ® benefits the entire face including the eyes. The patients viewed in Dr. Muslin’s Face Lift Dentistry website all show the “proud and happy” look because they know they are looking better for the rest of their lives

Dental Face Lift – Jaw Re-Aligningment

Posted by: The Hightech Dentist | Comments Comments Off
Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Question:

Dr. Sam, Would Jaw Re-Aligning the jaw with Face Lift Dentistry lead to future Problems?

Answer:

Most people do not ever have proper jaw alignment at anytime during their lifetime and after years of aging, the bad bite problems get worse. Jaw pain is generally the result of bad jaw alignment and emotional stress. Patients are more likely to have problems in the future, if they do not get their jaw alignment idealized with Face Lift Dentistry.

My treatment protocol for Face Lift Dentistry involves testing the jaw position before treatment begins. The patient is in total control of the testing and they report the results.

The results of jaw “re-alignment” with Face Lift Dentistry have been highly successful in relieving jaw problems as headaches. Neck pain has been reduced, muscle tension has been relieved and headaches have decreased in frequency and intensity after treatment. These patients have benefited from being treated with Face Lift Dentistry and have lived better and healthier lives.

The reason a jaw would need “re-aligning” is to improve the alignment. The patient is more likely to develop jaw problems as headaches if they do not improve the jaw position.

No-Pain Non-Invasive Face Lift Dentistry

Question:

Dr. Sam, I showed my orthodontist the before-after pictures of your Barbara case study and asked him his thoughts as I have a very similar problem. The way he described your procedure to me was really scary! He said I should know that I will have the equivalent pain of a root canal in every tooth in my mouth for this outcome. He said he would much rather have his jaw surgically lengthened than go through the pain you would inflict. How did Barbara cope with this?

Answer:

Barbara never had any pain because none of her teeth were ground down or drilled. Actually, the non-invasive dentistry utilized to treat Barbara, will help her natural teeth last longer as they now have an additional layer bonded on top of her original teeth. The additional layer is pure biologically compatible porcelain that does not stain and is very durable. The teeth do not decay under the porcelain because they are totally bonded and integrated with her natural tooth structure.

Barbara face No Pain Non Invasive Face Lift Dentistry

Non-Invasive Face Lift Dentistry Miracle

Your Orthodontist is simply not aware of the latest technology. Nobody in their right mind would “rather have his jaw surgically lengthened” when the alternative is much safer. Additionally, jaw surgeries are very invasive and have big potential risks. Jaw surgeries cannot whiten the teeth or protect the teeth and sometimes cannot lift the bite far enough.

Your Orthodontist probably thought that Barbara had to have her natural teeth drilled down to place the porcelain. He or she was incorrect and again unaware of the possibilities of the latest developments. Sometimes specialists and generalists do not progress with the best new advances. Sam Muslin DDS MAGD has developed dental bonding techniques that must be utilized with the matching type of porcelain for each particular patient. The technique is so strong and durable that a patient can have the best bite, best jaw position and clean healthy white teeth with non-invasive dentistry!

Non-Invasive dentistry can improve the bite, relieve headaches or neck pain and give the patient white natural looking teeth that last. Barbara could even change the porcelain if she wanted whiter teeth in the future.

Facelift Dentistry ® Can Improve Your Appearance

Posted by: The Hightech Dentist | Comments Comments Off
Sunday, December 27th, 2009

Question:

Dr. Sam, how can Face Lift Dentistry improve my appearance?

Answer:

Face Lift Dentistry ® is the only procedure that can change the shape of your face permanently without facial surgery.  The basic concept is that the teeth are directly responsible for the length of your face and facial support.  If you have longer teeth or if they are angled correctly, you will have more lip support.  Fuller lips and a smoother facial appearance is possible by only treating your teeth and the treatment is non-invasive.

Additionally, most patients and dentists do not understand that the bite is directly responsible for the shape of your face.  If you have a deep overbite, your face will be shorter.  If you have a deep overbite, your jaw will look smaller.  With the advanced bonding technologies, a persons face can be permanently changed while getting the best shaped teeth and the best color for their face.  The results completely revitalize the entire face.  Patients in their 60′s look 15 years younger and more healthy.  Younger patients with weak looking chins can have a vastly improved facial profile without jaw surgery.

Face Lift Dentistry ® is customized to each persons individual facial characteristics.  Be Careful!  There is only one dentist that has the extensive experience and the full face photography of his patients that clearly demonstrate the versatility and the possibilities of this technique.  Sam Muslin DDS MAGD has trademarked and developed the concept as will as perfecting the non surgical dental bonding technique.  No dental crowns are necessary if the teeth are healthy.  Dr. Muslin does NOT have to grind down your teeth in order to provide Face Lift Dentistry ®.

Face Lift Dentistry is a great life style enhancer and confidence builder.  The patients have been so thrilled with the results that they have signed full model release forms allowing Dr. Muslin to show photos of their faces that are matched perfectly.  Don’t Be Fooled by fake photos in other websites.  Dr. Muslin’s photos are untouched and unaltered and matched positions so you can see the amazing results accurately.

Please call Sam Muslin DDS MAGD at (310) 829-6796 for your consultation.
